GETTING AROUND IN PARIS



Both the Métro and the RER (Réseau Express Régional) are run by the RATP - Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens. The RATP also runs the busses. The Métro - never more than 500 metres from any spot in Paris - forms an important part of daily life. Built in 1900, some of the original Art Nouveau entrances designed by Hector Guimard still exist like the one here:
