CHURCHES OF PARIS

The American Cathedral in Paris
Although I am Canadian, I am a parish member the American Cathedral in Paris (which is an English-speaking church of the Anglican faith), and I attend services there whenever I am in the city.

The American Church in Paris is a nondenominational English-language church, popular among visitors to Paris.

NOTRE DAME

This is the most famous cathedral in the world

SACRE COEUR
This is a beautiful Byzantine-style basilica. It is located on a hilltop of Montmartre, giving visitors a sweeping view of Paris. It has been photographed more often than any other church, but unfortunately, cameras are not allowed indoors.
A beautiful carrousel sits in the square at the foot of the steps.

The Panthéon was built as a church between 1764 and 1790. Its huge coupola dominates Paris from the top of the Sainte-Geneviève hill on the Seine left bank. Many well-known Parisians are buried there, including Pierre and Marie Currie, and Victor Hugo.

Also on the Left Bank, Sainte Sulpice is situated close to Les Jandins de Luxembourg. It has become popular recently, due to the bestselling novel "The Da Vinci Code".
